STRANGE REVELATION ON CHIVAYO AND WIFE: UNCLE SAYS HEADS REMAIN MISSING

A relative of the late businessman Wicknell Chivayo has made a startling revelation about the aftermath of the helicopter crash that claimed the lives of Chivayo and his wife, Lucy Muteke, saying the heads of both victims were not recovered.

Speaking in a video circulating on social media, Chivayo's uncle also dismissed claims that the couple's heads had subsequently been found.

According to the uncle, only their wristwatches were recovered and identified, while their heads and mobile phones remained missing.

‘THE HEADS WERE NOT FOUND’

The uncle directly addressed reports and claims circulating since the crash, saying the family had not recovered the heads of either Chivayo or his wife.

He rejected suggestions that the remains had later been located.

According to his account, the recovery effort established the identity of the couple through other items, including their wristwatches, but their heads and phones had not been recovered.

The claim, if accurate, raises further questions about the condition of the helicopter and the circumstances surrounding the crash, although the uncle's statement by itself does not establish why the remains or phones have not been recovered.

SEPARATE GRAVES — SIDE BY SIDE

The uncle also disclosed arrangements for the couple's burial.

He said Chivayo and Muteke would be buried in separate graves at Glen Forest Cemetery in Harare on Thursday, October 8, with the graves positioned side by side.

The arrangement means the couple will be laid to rest next to each other despite being buried in separate graves.

The burial plans come as the family continues to deal with the aftermath of the fatal helicopter crash.

THE PHONES ALSO REMAIN MISSING

Perhaps equally significant in the uncle's account is the claim that the couple's mobile phones have not been recovered.

Phones can potentially contain photographs, messages, call records, location information and other data that may be relevant to reconstructing a person's movements before an incident.

The uncle's statement therefore introduces another unanswered element surrounding the crash: what happened to the phones belonging to Chivayo and his wife?

He did not, in the statement described here, provide an explanation for why the devices remained missing.

FAMILY ACCOUNT CONTRADICTS CLAIMS CIRCULATING ONLINE

The uncle's comments are particularly notable because they directly challenge claims circulating on social media that the couple's heads had been found.

Rather than accepting those reports, he said the family knew otherwise.

His account is therefore significant as a family statement, but it should not automatically be treated as an independently established forensic finding until confirmed by investigators or the relevant authorities.

The circumstances of the crash, the recovery of the victims and the identification process remain matters requiring authoritative confirmation.

For now, one of the most striking statements to emerge from the family is that Chivayo and his wife will be buried side by side, while their heads and phones, according to the uncle, remain unrecovered.
